What a Month!

Sorry it's been so long since I've been able to get on here and give updates on our family...everytime I sat down at the computer something came up and I just haven't had much time. Where to begin...work is going just fine now, I actually got to call in sick today and stay home with Timothy for a change so that was nice. I probably shouldn't have since we'll be gone Friday through Monday this weekend, but oh well. He needed it, he's really going through the whole separation anxiety thing bad. I didn't really realize that's what it was until today, but it's bad. Any advice?

We're leaving for TX on Thursday night. We're taking a red-eye so we'll see how that goes with the little guy. He'll sleep when we hold him so as long as we can get him to sleep we'll be ok. More than likely he'll just take a big nap when we get there Friday morning which is fine with me. I'm sure I'll need one too! Last time we flew Timothy fell asleep and we laid him across our laps and he actually slept like that for about an hour and a half! Thankfully he's sleeping now. He had a rough night Saturday night and I had to go in and wake him up and clean out his nose because he couldn't breathe and then he refused to take a nap yesterday afternoon and he had a rough night again last night and ended up in our bed around 5am. Oh well, he was pretty snugly so I can't complain too much!

He has really taken off with walking. He won't crawl now unless he has to and he's getting fast! He can stand up too with holding onto anything so that's pretty helpful. He has also discovered a new talent in turning off light switches. He'll point to them anytime he sees one and we have to go over and turn it off. He points at everything now, it's cute...and pretty helpful at mealtime! He will sign a little now, we can usually get "all done" and sometimes we get "more" and we're working on "airplane". There's a small airport right by our house and so we get the little crop duster planes flying around all the time and he loves to stand at the back door and watch them so we're working on the sign for "airplane" now too. I think we might take a baby sign language class through our pediatrician's office. We'll see.

We had the parent's portion of the one year old class at our pediatrician's office last week. It was weird being there without the kids. We've seen these people for the past year with their babies and it was weird not to see the kids there too, but I can understand it would be hard to teach a class with a bunch of one year olds running around. It sure was easy at that two week old class when they all just laid there and slept! But, we had fun, it was like a mini date...and we learned a lot of good stuff too. Timothy's right where he should be developmentally so that's just perfect for us. And surprisingly out of a class of 10 or more couples, only one was pregnant again. We're hoping to be in that boat by the 18 month visit, we'll see!!

So this week should be a little hectic, we're having family pictures made in TX and a birthday party for Timothy. We're pretty excited. But before any of that can happen we have to do laundry and pack and get the house clean before we leave and probably go to work somewhere in all of that! At least I have Wednesday off too, only two days of work this week!! I will try to get birthday pictures up as soon as I can when we get back and I'll try to get back on here again before I leave. Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter, here's some new pictures!!
Checking out the Easter basket...imagine that, the Easter Bunny knew he liked Elmo!
Apparently it's more fun to play in the toy box...
Messy spaghetti night!!!
Check out the new teeth!
