Finally!!

Yes, I know it has been a long time...but you wouldn't believe what a crazy couple of weeks we have had lately. I thought a chipped tooth was a lot to deal with, but then I was definitely proved wrong. Here's what our family has been up to (warning...this might be a long one).

So post-chipped tooth, we spent that Thursday night at the Oden's watching some of survivor and hanging out with friends and then left to board the plane for TX. It was a great trip, Timothy slept through the whole thing and actually didn't wake up until we were putting the bags in the truck at the Houston airport. We made it back to Brandon's parent's house where we napped most of the afternoon and laid around being lazy and catching up on our rest. We were supposed to take family pictures that afternoon, but it got rained out (plus it was REALLY windy) so instead we all just went to dinner (at Cracker Barrell!!!) and bummed around the mall for a little while. Saturday was party day so we were all busy. Brandon's family handled all the food and that stuff so a HUGE thank you to everyone down there for such a wonderful party, we had a great time. Timothy has a complete summer wardrobe now, he'll be stylin' all summer long! Sunday we did the normal church thing and then Monday we headed home. I tried to pick some of our favorite pictures from the weekend, there were so many it was hard to pick just a few!
Timothy had an Elmo cake, of course, and it was so cute...especially since he had a matching Elmo shirt!!
And then he tore into the cake and got it all over himself...he had so much fun!!
Baby Easton looking cute as ever...Timothy's so jealous of all that hair!
And of course, we have to get a picture of the family whenever we're together
And what trip to TX in the Spring would be complete without a picture in the bluebonnets...Timothy was too thrilled to have his picture taken again, but oh well!

We made it home Monday evening and all was well until about 10:30 that night when Timothy started crying in his crib and I almost didn't go in there but something told me I should and when I did we discovered he was covered in puke. Not the best surprise at that time of night so we were up with him until around 2am...it was a little scary, it was the first time he had ever done that. Tuesday was ok and Wednesday was ok and then early Thursday morning Brandon and I both woke up sick and throwing up so we spent Timothy's birthday at home taking turns in the bathroom all day. I know it's gross, but it's the truth! By Friday we were all feeling better though, so I think we're in the clear. I'm still a little sick feeling, but haven't actually gotten sick, so I think my stomach is just trying to get back to normal. I lost 10 pounds though, so I guess I can't complain too much!

Timothy had his one year well child check up on Friday so we had lots of fun at that. He weighed 22.12 and was 31 in. and his head was somewhere around 49 cm. So that puts him in the 85% for height, 50% for weight and the doc didn't actually say the % for his head, but he said it's "bigger than most". He also added that it's normal and growing consistently so we don't have to worry, but it's a little annoying having to buy 2T - 3T size hats for my one year old! We left the doctor and spent the afternoon at my parent's house. We went out to dinner and a movie with Grammy and Grumpy and Tyler on Friday night, it was a lot of fun. The movie wasn't great, but it was pretty funny and the best part was that Timothy actually sat and was quiet for the entire movie. We've tried movies three times and that's the only one we've made it through.

Saturday (yesterday) was his birthday party and it was so much fun. I was worried since he didn't get much of a nap, but he did great and we had a lot of fun. Thanks to Grammy and Grumpy and Aunt Brittany for all of your help, it was such a wonderful time. We are just so thankful to have so many people, in TX and WA, that care and love for us and for Timothy and gave their time to spend at his birthday parties. We didn't even need presents for him, just seeing all the people there celebrating our little boy was plenty. Of course, he loves he presents. He plays with his fire truck all the time and we took him on a walk today on his "bike".

More cake! Yummy!
Why on earth is she making me wear this ridiculous hat?
I think all the kids enjoyed the fire truck and dump truck!
Look out, here I come!

It's still a little crazy to me that we have a one year old now, and I saved all of my crying for the ride home from mom and dad's last night since I was alone in the car. We just couldn't have asked for a better child and are so incredibly blessed and thankful.
We take a picture of Timothy every month in his chair to see how much he's grown. The one above was taken a few days after we came home from the hospital and the one below was taken this morning...I can't say much more or I'll start crying again, I just hope this feeling doesn't go away with any other children we might have...I never want to forget this...
Thanks to everyone for making his first year so great...and I promise I'll do better at updating now that the craziness is over!
