Snow Snow Snow

Well we returned from TX safe and sound and woke up this morning to about an inch of snow on the ground! What a difference between WA and TX. When we left there yesterday it was probably 70 and sunny and today it's 35 and rainy/snowy. But I can't complain, I love the NW and I love snow!

We had a good visit in TX, we left last Saturday and stayed the night with the Thompsons in Houston. We had so much fun catching up and letting the kids play together. We got to go to church with them Sunday morning which was fun too, we haven't all been to church together in a long time! Then we headed east to Brandon's parents' house where we stayed the rest of the week. Pretty much we spent the week visiting with family, shopping and eating. Nothing out of the ordinary for Thanksgiving!

Timothy has grown so much in just one week! He's pulling up on everything now, he doesn't want to crawl and play with his toys, he wants to get to the nearest table, couch, chair, or person and climb up until he's standing. He's even gotten brave a couple of times and let go. It's so neat to watch him, the only downside is a bed time when he wants to stand up in his crib and then scream. His sleeping patterns have been so whacky the past few days though, I'm hoping things will calm down now that we're home and he's back to his normal routine.

He has picked up a couple of funny new habits though, he's started sniffing when he laughs, but it's usually only when he's done something big like pulling up on a chair or taking a big bite of food. He's also started sticking out his tongue when he's crawling or "working on something". I guess he takes after his Grumpy! A not so funny new habit though is this fear of big scary men that are really loud. He screamed at a few of them this past week, it was pretty funny.

And that was our week last week. We're going to be very busy these next few weeks, we are scheduled to move in to our new house on December 15, and Brandon will be out of town that week so I'm going to be doing a LOT of packing. We've been collecting boxes for a while so hopefully we'll have enough and it will go by quickly.

That's pretty much it for now. I will try to add some pictures when I get to work this week (yuck!). Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving, less than one month til Christmas now!

Baby Santa

We went to the mall today to get pictures taken for our Christmas cards, they were so much fun. Nevermind the fact that we had a 1pm appointment and we didn't get out of there til almost 3pm, Timothy stayed happy for the pictures and we got some really good ones. You'll all get one, we got so many of them.

We haven't had a particularly funny week this week, which is unusual for Timothy. He's been more fussy than normal and not sleeping much. Maybe it's just a growth spurt. He's really sitting up and crawling well now though. He's trying to crawl with his feet instead of his knees. It's so cute. And he's learned how to pull himself up in his crib so daddy had to lower the mattress yesterday. I can't believe he'll be 7 months old next Sunday.

We're all geared up for our trip to TX for Thanksgiving. I'm trying to figure out what to pack, I only want to take the cutest clothes for him so I can show him off. Not like it's hard, he's so smiley we can barely make it through the grocery store or the mall without having to have the "yes, he's a very happy baby, yes he's very alert, yes, he's very smiley" conversation. Oh well, I'm thankful to have such a great baby. A little worried about what the next one will be like, but I guess it doesn't matter, we'll love it no matter what.

A little bit of good news, the house we wanted to get it pretty much ours unless something weird comes up from our application (which we don't anticipate happening). The lady that owns it called today to ask how serious we were about moving there to which I replied extremely so she said it's pretty much ours! I'll try to get some pictures up of it when I can. I haven't tried disabling the anti-virus, but thanks for the suggestion Jamey! So Brandon will be out of town in early December and as soon as he gets back, we'll start moving! I want to be in there before Christmas so I can set up the tree and decorate for Timothy's first Christmas.

This next week should be pretty busy getting ready for TX and finishing up things at work. No news yet on the stay at home option, I'm just waiting to hear back from a girl at church about possibly babysitting her daughter for her, so we'll see how that goes! Hopefully it will all work out.

Picture Problem & Teeth!

So we can't add pictures on here on our home computer, I don't know why. We've tried everything, disabling the pop-up blocker, the whole deal and the window to add pictures in just won't come up here at home. So, Brandon's been adding them from work. It's a long process, but oh well. Just wanted to explain why it takes a while for pictures to show up sometimes!

I think we are on the way to getting some teeth now. He has been so incredibly fussy all day today, hardly slept at all, screaming bloody murder when I try to give him a pacifier, it's been a great day. His gums do look a little swollen, and he has had the runny nose to end all runny noses, so maybe it's finally time. No really funny stories though, he's just been our normal little Timothy lately...jumping and crawling and laughing at Dixie.

We did go look at a new house today though. It was so beautiful, I think we're going to go for it. It's in a nice neighborhood with good schools and a cute little playground and it's big enough for the three of us, so I think it will do! The only problem is there's not really a good place for the dog. I told Brandon I thought she would be fine in the garage, but he wants her right out there rubbing her nasty self in the carpet and spreading germs and grossness all over the place. She really is a gross dog. So we'll see what happens.

That's pretty much it for now. Timothy's starting to get a little fussy so I should probably run. Only 10 more days til we leave for TX, I can't wait for the vacation. Hopefully I won't be coming back to my job when we get back. I have until Friday to find something new. Pray for me!!
