Flat Stanley

About a week and a half ago, Timothy received a letter in the mail from his good friend Ethan who moved to Tennessee last summer. Ethan had made a Flat Stanley at school and wanted to send it to Timothy so that we could show Stanley all the cool things about Washington. We were so happy to help Ethan out, it's such a cute project and we all had fun thinking of places to go and take pictures! So here are the pictures from our week with Flat Stanley!
Can't you just see the excitement on his face? Haha, he was a little confused at first about what he was supposed to do with it, but he caught on quickly!

We took Stanley to school to see his classroom and meet his teacher, Mrs. Russell.
We took Stanley to church to meet all of our friends there.
We took Stanley to the playground in our neighborhood and showed him Mt. Rainier (thank goodness we had nice weather!!)

We took him to Titlow Park and fed the ducks.

We showed him the Tacoma Narrows Bridge.

And showed him some beautiful Washington daffodils!!

We took him the Point Defiance Zoo (again, so thankful for nice weather!)

And what trip to WA would be complete without a taste of some Starbucks?!

Thanks for letting us hang out with Stanley, Ethan...we miss you and your family and can't wait to see you all again!!

One Month Old

Yes, I know I'm a week and a half late on this, but I guess maybe I've been a little busy? Anyway, here's what our newest little angel has been up to her first month! I'm usually a happy baby, I'm awake a lot more now and I'm starting to give some baby smiles! I love to look at my brother and he can usually get me to smile when he sticks his tongue out :) Sometimes I sleep on a schedule, I like to nurse around 9pm and then I go to sleep by 11...I wake up at 3 and go right back to sleep until around 7...mommy likes this schedule!! Sometimes I like my pacifier, and I love to lay on the floor and kick my feet. I almost always fall asleep in the car but if I'm awake in my car seat, I like to cry. I've already outgrown all of my newborn clothes and moved on to 0-3 or 3 months outfits. I like to wear bows! Some of my hair is falling out, but it's still really thick on the top and the back. I'm a sweet and happy baby girl and I know already how much my family loves me!!

Who's Who?

We can't tell who Caroline looks more like...some days she looks just like Timothy and some days more like Charlotte...so I pulled out all three of their "first bath" pictures, what do you think? They're in order, Timothy first, then Charlotte and then Caroline.

Sisterly Love

The first of very very many matching/coordinating outfits for these girlies!!

Random Pictures

These are all things that I've wanted to blog about and just keep forgetting, so I'm putting them all in here together!!

This is the face I got when I asked Charlotte what a mermaid looks like...and yes, she's topless and covered in spaghetti, but it just makes cleaning her up so much easier!!

This is what talking on Skype with Brandon's parents looks like...

Uncle Stefan and Aunt Stacia (and family) sent Timothy this super cool arts and crafts box for Christmas and he pulled it out the other day so that we could draw all of the characters from his new favorite show Bubble Guppies...good thing he doesn't mind his mommy's terrible drawing skills!!

Lots of fun playing outside, we've been having some nicer days so we're trying to get outside as much as we can!

Timothy found a few earthworms on the patio and had fun watching them work their way across the pavement to the grass.

And more outdoor fun at the playground...

First Bath

Caroline had her first real bath tonight. Her cord stump fell off about a week ago, but there was still a little residue that needed to dry up before I felt comfortable getting it wet. Charlotte and Timothy were very happy when the stump was gone, Charlotte was pretty sure it was a "belly snake"!

Anyway...she LOVED her first real bath, she didn't cry at all through the whole thing, even the drying off and lotion and jammies part. Of course, it probably helped that she had lots of "helpers" to make sure she stayed happy. I always love when babies get their first real baths...she seemed to warm and snuggly afterward! And the best part of the night is that all three of them were in bed by 8pm tonight!! I'm sure Caroline will wake up for a late bed time snack in a couple of hours, but for now, we're enjoying every minute of "free time"!! Here are some pictures from her bath tonight and I posted a bunch of new ones on facebook as well.

And in totally unrelated news...please pray for my cousin Chad and his family. Their house burned to the ground today and they lost everything. Thankfully the whole family (they have three kids) made it out safely, but they have nothing left and need lots of prayers.

Check Up and Pictures

So technically, Caroline is three weeks old, but she had her two week check up this past Thursday. Again, I LOVE our pediatrician and the way they do well child check ups. It's a bit of a drive to get to their office now and I totally appreciate my mom for driving all the way out here to stay with Timothy and Charlotte so I could attend the whole two week check up parent and baby class.

Caroline is growing like a weed already, she was up to 8 pounds, 4 ounces and 21.5 inches. She was the biggest gainer in the class, putting on an average of 1.5 ounces a day since birth! She is a really good eater, so I wasn't surprised! She did great through the class and the check up and we're excited to go back next month for the two month class and see how much she and all the other little babies have changed!

And today we took her and did newborn pictures for her birth announcements. I had gotten her the cutest little crocheted outfit on Etsy and I think the pictures turned out really cute! They give you a low-resolution cd with their packages, so thankfully I can post her pictures on here and on facebook, so enjoy!!
