We went to a Sonics game last Sunday night, it was the JDRF night so Heather got us all tickets and since they were playing Charlotte, Tyler got to meet Adam Morrison who is also diabetic and he got to meet some of the Sonics, he was pretty pumped about that.
Last week was month end closing at work so that was busy as usual and Timothy had his first day at KinderCare. He seemed to like it and everyone there kept going on and on about how happy he is, so that made me feel better. He starts full-time there tomorrow. Full-time for us is only three days a week, but it's three 10 hour days so it's a lot. The good part about it is I can start work earlier and leave earlier so I think it will work out for the best!
Yesterday Brandon and I went out to dinner at The Melting Pot (yummy) and Aunt Heather and Tyler watched Timothy for us...it was pretty nice, we were celebrating our anniversary, we always go to eat there, it's our little tradition. So that was fun and Timothy had fun playing "ninjas" with Tyler.
Speaking of Tyler, I sent out an email to everyone I could possibly think of to let you all know that we're raising money to participate in the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fun Walk for the Cure which takes place here in Tacoma on May 5th. If anyone wants to walk with us or is interested in donating, just send me an email (lindsay_york@hotmail.com) and I'll send you the link to donate. We're really excited about it, we're going to have team shirts made and Heather's putting together a video of Tyler to share with everyone telling more about his fight with diabetes and what he has to do to basically survive. Long story short, that kid has been through more in 8 years than I could have ever imagined and he's had to endure things that I don't think I could get through and he deserves something good in his life and if participating in this walk will help find a way to cure him of diabetes then I'll do whatever I can to make that happen. I found this picture of him from when we went to the zoo this summer and I thought it was pretty funny. He wanted to pose for this one because Brittany and Kevin took a picture like this in South Padre this summer and he wanted to do it too. I added a vacation picture too, this was right after he was diagnosed (and there's Hadley too!).
And of course I have to add pictures of Timothy just being his normal happy (yet sick) self. He's getting so close to walking, it's just a matter of time...it's still a little scary to think about. He also has a new "chore"...he holds the dog's leash while she's outside. It's so cure, he really just holds it and sits there and watches her, he loves it. And I had to add a picure of him looking all cool in his sunglasses, he hates them and pulls them off as soon as I let his hands go free, but they're pretty cute!
And baby Easton is getting so big now!

I'll keep you all updated on the JDRF walk and fundraising efforts...if you can't give your time or money, please at least give your prayers that a cure will be found so no more kids will have to live with this disease. And of course, everyone in our family says a great big THANK YOU!!

Great pics Lindsay! I'm glad Timothy like KinderCare. I know it's probably hard transitioning him. I'm sorry he's sick again. I understand how unfun that is. I hope he gets to feeling better soon.
By the way, we normally do The Melting Pot for special occasions too. I love it! Stefan like it too but tries not to gag when he sees the bill. :)
