More on Our New Nephew

OK, so Rheanna had an ultrasound this past week and they think that Easton is measuring really big (like 8 1/2 pounds) so they were going to schedule a c-section but decided to wait until this coming Tuesday and they're going to induce instead. Easton isn't exactly in the right position to come through the birth canal, but (I think) the doctor told her that he was going to try to move Easton into the correct position once her water broke. So it all sounds a little scary to me, but you know doctors, I'm sure they have it all under control! We will have a new nephew on Tuesday!! Of course, we won't get to actually meet him until April, but I'm sure we'll get plenty of pictures before then (we'd better!).

Nothing much new here, still sick, and that's about it. Timothy is starting to let go and stand on his own more often now, I just feel so bad for him, his little nose is all gross and crusty and runny and he screams when we try to touch it to clean it. His cough was much better last night though so that was good. I only heard him coughing once, it happens every night around 12:30 am. Oh well, at least he's regular!

A not so great milestone that we've hit now...I think we may be through with nursing. It was slowing down a lot anyway, I could only pump an ounce or two a day, and then with this sinus infection the doctor had to give me a decongestant and that pretty much dried me up everywhere. I'm trying to at least still nurse him in the morning and at night, but other than that, it's all bottles. Oh well, we made it almost 10 months so that's not too bad! On a somewhat happy and scary note though, in 74 days he'll be one year old. I've already got his party planned, I'm so excited. He actually gets to have two parties, we'll be in TX the weekend before his birthday so we're going to have an Elmo party with the family down there, and then the next weekend we're going to have a balloon party up here. This boy loves balloons. So we've got a lot to think about in the next few months!

Anyway, I should run, we have that meet and greet with our preacher candidate in an hour and I need to wake up Timothy and get him dressed and attempt to clean his nose again (pray for me!).

I'm so sorry that you are stopping nursing. I know it's not fun to stop when you're not ready to. I think it's AWESOME that you made it 10 months pumping as much as you did. It really is a serious testimony to working moms that it can be done. I hope your sinus infection goes away soon. Just think, you are free to drink as many caffeinated sodas as you want and take whatever kind of medicine you need now. :)

Thanks Stacia, it was really hard. I just had a mini breakdown at work when the reminder on my calendar popped up for me to go pump...but I am pretty excited to drink more Diet Cokes and eat spicier food again!
