I'm really excited for our Ladies Retreat, the theme this year is "Too Blessed to be Stressed" and it's supposed to be a really fun weekend. The past few years it's been a cry fest, but the ladies in charge this year decided to change it up and have more fun. The best part is staying up late on Friday night, playing cards and talking. I wish Karen was here this year, we will miss you! It's tough being the youngest one there, not that I don't enjoy hanging out with my mom and our friends, but there's just not many girls my age at our church that are very active. And the two that are can't come because they have little ones and their husbands aren't here. If I could only persuade that little sister of mine to come...but that's another battle!
Timothy is still growing by leaps and bounds, he was 10 months old yesterday. He loves to stand by himself now, he'll pull up on anything and just let go and stand there. It's really cute, he's so brave! He's starting to get a little risky and let go of one thing to step and reach for another thing. I guess we're on our way to walking, not sure if I'm excited or scared! My mom got him some big boy walking shoes last weekend, we took him to Nordstrom's and they measured his feet and everything...he's in a 5 1/2! So he has cool new tennis shoes now, he hasn't quite figured out how to move around in them yet, but he's getting the hang of it! He's also started clapping a lot more. It's so cute. He mostly does it when he's eating which means little pieces of food go flying...oh well, that's what the dog is here for!
His other new trick is "winking"...it's pretty cute
And my mom and dad got him an Elmo card for Valentine's Day, he carried it around with him everywhere that morning!
Sorry for the randomness with the pictures...I just realized I hadn't posted any in a while! Nothing else too interesting is going on here. We had a good weekend, mainly hanging out at home, relaxing...I went to the gym, Brandon washed the cars, I got to go shopping by myself for my Valentine's Day present. No big plans coming up either. Our anniversary is a couple of weeks away, three years already. We're doing our usual celebration, dinner at the Melting Pot (yummy!!). And that's about it...sorry we're so boring lately! I promise things will become more interesting as we move closer to that first birthday...only 57 more days!

Avery has a thing for cards too. She's carried the valentine's from "Grammy and Pop" all week!
Lindsay...Hey, it's Kim (Calkins) Watson. Yall have a PRECIOUS little boy! He is too cute! I can't wait to see him when we come back that way...not sure when that will be...but hopefully soon. If yall ever come to Abilene (probably unlikely, but, still), we would love to see yall. Please tell your folks that I said hi! If you want, you can email me (kjcwatson@yahoo.com) and I'll give you the link to our blog. Our little boy is Jake, and he is fixing to be 1 on March 6th. Isn't it crazy how fast time flys by now? Anyway, I hope you and Brandon and Timothy are doing well - it looks as if yall are just doing GREAT and I am so glad! Tell everyone hello at church for me. Take care and have a blessed day! Kim
