Chatterbox
As I'm sure most almost 2 year olds go, Timothy has trouble pronouncing some words...for him, it's word's that start with the letter F. For example, fish becomes bish, farmer becomes barmer, you get the idea. It's pretty cute for now though. Tonight in the bath tub he kept saying, "I'm swimming like a bishy!". It was funny. He is really good at pronouncing some words though. Tyler taught him how to say "everybody" which he can say really well when he thinks about it, and he can say Grammy and Grumpy but they really come out Gammy and Gumpy, and he has Meme and Papa down...he calls my sisters Header and Bitty for Heather and Brittany and Ty Ty has always been Ty Ty. It's just so neat to watch how he learns new words and how fast he picks them up!
I really think a lot of it has to do with his daycare. We've been so blessed to have him in the CDC on Fort Lewis, they do an amazing job with those kids. They told Brandon when he called the first time to see if they had openings that they didn't and that since he was only a civilian employee Timothy would be at the bottom of the list but that we should check back every 6 months or so just in case...so when the time came to call in last March we didn't expect much since it had only been 6 months of waiting, but they had a spot and once he's in, he's in for good. Every 6 months we have a parent/teacher conference and when we went in October, his teacher was telling us that they have a different developmental goal that they work on every week and they actually have to have photographic evidence that each child has completed that goal. It's crazy, but he has learned so much since he's been there. He has to wash him own hands, pour his own drink, help clean off the tables, and I still don't know how they get 16 18 month olds to 3 year olds to nap every day! Like I said, it's been such a blessing to have him there.
Anyway, not much else going on. The weather here has been beautiful, yesterday it was 60 and sunny. We took Timothy to the park and watched the ducks. He also got a hair cut yesterday. It's a little shorter than I wanted it, but it will grow out nice. This weekend we have our Ladies Retreat at church. I'm so excited, I love Ladies Retreat. This year I was in charge of the skit...not my strongest skill, but I found a really funny one online and two ladies graciously agreed to be actresses! I'll let you know how it went when I get back. I wanted to add pictures of his new hair cut and some bath time fun...but blogger isn't letting me right now...I'll save them for another time!

What an Accomplishment!
So tonight we were eating dinner and we had just finished saying prayers before we ate and Timothy started yelling, "poo poo". He randomly yells things some times so we gave it a minute but he wouldn't eat anything and he kept yelling so we got him out and checked and he hadn't gone yet so we went into the bathroom and put him on the toilet and he went poo poo in the potty like a big boy!! We were so proud! The funniest part was that when we sat back down to eat dinner he ate almost everything in sight. I still can't believe he'll be two in two months.
We had a nice Valentine's Day at our house, we ate a nice family dinner Thursday night and I baked a cake and Timothy helped me frost it. He was doing so well eating it with his fork, but then gave up and used his hands...oh well, it's a holiday! Brandon took me out to a really nice dinner last night and then we went to a movie, it was a lot of fun.
I had my first real prenatal checkup yesterday. I was there for an hour and a half...not because anything was wrong, the doc just got caught up with another patient and I had to wait forever. It was worth it though, it was the first time I had met her and she was so nice and so thorough. She went through all my lab results with me and all the ultrasound results and explained what everything meant, it was great. She was able to find the baby's heartbeat (really quickly too!) and it was completely normal around 160. It was a good checkup, I feel really good about her as a doctor and that always helps!
So here are some more pics...lately the only time I can get Timothy to be still and look at the camera is when he's in his high chair, so that's all you get! He loves to eat oranges lately and there's some of him in there eating his heart cake! Happy late Valentine's Day!

ABC's and 123's
Timothy has started singing the alphabet song more and more lately. He really will only sing it for me and occasionally for Brandon...but it's so cute. I tried to get it on video last night, but he made it to H and then looked at the camera and said, "Cheese mommy!". He can count to 10, but he usually forgets 5 and 8 and he almost always forgets 10. He gets stuck on 7 and 9. He'll line up his cars or whatever toys he's playing with and count them out, but he usually just says, "Six, Nine...Six, Nine". It's cute. He's also become hooked on singing Bible class songs. We regularly have to sing This Little Light and Roll the Gospel Chariot which he just calls the brother song. He likes the part where you stop and pick him up and rolling over the devil (which he calls "debil", it's so cute).
In baby news, there's not much to report. I've been feeling a little better this week so I'm hoping that will continue. I go back to the doc on Friday so hopefully we'll get to hear the heartbeat and make sure everything is ok...again...I think I'm a little paranoid. I'm starting to stress about getting rooms ready though. We have to do Timothy's room first and then the nursery and I would like to get at least Timothy's room done before his birthday but that's just two months away! I guess I should probably decide what I want to do in there first! We did find some nice bunk beds though that we're going to get and I think I've found bedding I like, but we'll see...not like he'll really care, but I want it to be cute!
Anyway, here are some long awaited pictures...you would think changing the batteries in the camera wouldn't take weeks and weeks to do, but in our house, it does!

No, No, and More No!!!
This seems to be the most popular word in our house these days. The answer to practically every question is, "NO!". It's great. We've also started getting regular temper tantrums. Terrible 2's - here we come!
I really think a lot of it comes from the fact that this child is non stop action all the time. He's been in his crib now for an hour trying to take a nap and I've been hearing, "mommy!" "mommy - where are you?" "mickey mouse" "get out!" " mommy...daddy...grammy...grumpy..." " oh no bear" you get the point. He's become obsessed with the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse show now so we have to watch that every morning and he gets very upset when it's time to turn the TV off.
He just talks all the time. His newest word/phrase is: "I did it!" It's pretty cute. He loves to read this dinosaur book at my parent's house but he will only let Grammy read it to him. I tried and Brittany tried and each time he'll stop you after the first page or so and say, "no, grammy do it" and carry the book over to her. My dad has decided that his new nickname is Bam Bam and that he's the strongest baby he's ever seen. He is pretty strong, and he does like to bang things on the table or floor or whatever else will make a loud noise.
He still loves to sing. We've added the Head, Shoulders song to our collection and of course the Mickey Mouse song. He also discovered over the past few days that he likes to build forts with chairs and blankets (and we have to sit in them and laugh) and he likes to play hide and seek. I'll sit on the couch and count and he runs and hides in the guest room and when I start to go find him he runs and closes the door so I can't get in there to "catch" him. It's pretty cute.
Anyway, I know these were all pretty random thoughts, he's just doing so much lately I felt the need to write it all down so I don't forget.

Excuse
So I know I haven't been on here for a while, but I do have an excuse. I just couldn't stand blogging and not announcing our news! We're going to have another baby in August! I wanted to wait until we had an ultrasound and heard a heartbeat and made sure everything was OK, but we got all of that out of the way today so now we can spread the news! We're due August 14th, so I'm about 12 weeks along already and we got some really good pictures of the little guy (or girl?) today that I'll post as soon as I can get them scanned. It's just been hard to give updates on our lives without including that little fact!
So, obviously, we're excited and really happy that everything checked out OK on the ultrasound today. Timothy hasn't really grasped the concept yet, but I'm sure once my belly starts to grow he'll notice some thing's different. He moved up to the 2 & 3 year old class yesterday at church. I thought he had to wait until the new quarter started...well, actually, the "rule" is that you're supposed to wait until the new quarter starts after they turn 2 which would mean that he wouldn't move up there until June even though he turns 2 in April, but I thought they would just let him move with the new quarter in March but no, I found out Wednesday night that the cradle roll teacher had worked some magic and found a way for him to move up sooner. So he's the youngest one in class now instead of the older, but they said he did great on Sunday. All of his friends are in that class so I think it's more fun for him. It's a class full of boys right now, it's so cute. I'm hooked up to my work computer now so as soon as I can download them and get to my home computer, I'll post some pictures of him getting ready for his new class with his new Bible.
Other than fighting exhaustion, nausea, and Brandon being gone for two weeks, it's been a good month. We got about 2 inches of snow last night and we're supposed to get more tonight. It's so pretty, I love the snow. Hopefully it will snow a lot tonight so I can work from home tomorrow and take Timothy out to play in the snow. That's all for now, pray for our new little baby!
