Lions and Tigers and Bears, Oh My!!

This past Monday, since Brandon finally had a day off of work, we decided to go to the zoo and renew our membership. It is really the best money we spend all year, because I take those kids there at least once a month, they love it! Anyway, we had to wait and go after Charlotte woke up from her nap because it was WAY to cold to go in the morning, so we got there an hour or so before they closed, which was perfect. It was nice and empty and we had a great excuse to leave when it was time! As usual, the kids had a great time and I actually remembered to bring the camera and snap a few pictures.

Just for the record, the both love to watch the bears and the monkeys. Timothy loves to see the fish and alligators and has finally decided that he likes the hippos (we went through a phase last year where he was scared to death of them, I think because they were so close up), but he is still terrified of the aquarium, he'll go in there, but he doesn't like it - I guess he takes after his mommy with her fear of fish and the ocean! Charlotte likes pretty much anything that she can see. They both love to go in the Tiny Tot Nature Spot, it's so cute, it's a whole section of the zoo just for small children and they have so many fun "hands on" things for them to do. In the summer, they have a river bank where the kids and play in the water, it's really a nice set up. Anyway, enjoy the pictures! Hopefully we'll get a warmer and sunnier day again soon so we can go back!
