The Kiss
We reached a milestone in our house today...I was sitting on the couch and Charlotte came running into the room with a Buzz Lightyear toy and her Cinderella doll, came over to me and yelled, "a kiss, a kiss!!". She then put the toys together and made a kissy noise...way to go Charlotte, you're officially on your way to becoming a girly girl!!

Swim Lessons
Timothy has been taking swim lessons for the past week and a half. They've been OK so far, he's a little scared of the water so he doesn't like to pick up his feet and float, but he's getting there. He did learn how to hold his nose and go under the water which is HUGE for him, so I'll consider this round of lessons a success! It's just hilarious to me to watch him with all the other kids...he seriously looks like a little albino...sorry Timothy!! You definitely got that from mommy! He made a friend the first day and you would think they had known each other their whole lives, every day since then, they both have to give big huge hugs and when we're leaving they yell goodbye at each other across the parking lot...cute stuff...anyway, here are a few pictures I managed to snap on the first day!

Best Big Brother Award!
That's right, the award for best big brother goes to the one and only, Timothy Michael York. This little guy has been so sweet to his sister lately, he always wants to play with her, sit by her, share with her, get food and drinks for her...you name it, he'll do it. He was so good on the airplane when we went to see my family, he mostly just sat and played his Leapster, but Charlotte was another story. She was busy busy busy and hardly even sat in my lap. Most of the time she sat on the floor, but she spent a fair amount of time climbing on top of him and sitting next to him and standing on top of him and he just sat and let her do it, he was such a trooper! Anyway, their new favorite game to play together is called "Lay Down!!" which basically means they lay on the couch and I cover them up with a blanket and Charlotte tells Timothy to "lay down and go to sleep". I know the pictures aren't that great, but they were having fun so I didn't want to mess it up too much!

Trip to WA (finally!!!)
The kids and I were blessed to be able to make a long trip up to WA earlier this month. We got to stay for 10 days and it was so much fun. We went up so that I could go to Britt's engagement party and then we stayed for the week after as well. It was so nice to get to meet her future in-laws and some more of the wedding party and see their new condo, and thankfully we had a wonderful babysitter so the kids had a blast while we were gone for the night!
On Monday we took the kids to get their hair cut and they did such a good job, I really love Charlotte's new bangs and she did so well for her first haircut!! Tuesday we met Candice and her kids at the park and had fun playing, it was a little sad though that it's the last time we'll get to do that, we'll be sad to see them leave :( Later than night we went to see Tyler host his school's talent show, he did such a good job!! Wednesday we went to see Shrek, and thankfully had the theater to ourselves. Charlotte doesn't sit too well in movies and Timothy had more fun running around than watching, the movie wasn't that great so he wasn't too into it! Thursday and Friday we did some shopping and played at Grammy and Grumpy's house. Friday night Timothy had his very first ever sleep over. Heather came and picked him up and took him to Tyler's baseball game and then he spent the night at their house. We all met up Saturday morning at another baseball game and finished off with a cookout at Heather and Kevin's house.
We had so much fun, it was sad to leave, but we'll be back up there soon so it's OK!! I put all of the pictures on facebook, so these are just some of my favorites.

M.I.A.
I promise I'm still here and all is well. I have just been lazy and haven't charged my camera battery so that I could download the pictures from our trip to WA, but the charger is plugged in now and I will have no excuses tomorrow :) Stay tuned for lots of fun stories and pictures and someone's new haircut!!

There's a First Time for Everything!!
Anyone that has known me for a while knows that I have always hated running. I hated it in high school when we had to run for so long at volleyball practice (I mean, really? Why do volleyball players have to also be long distance runners?) and I hated in PE when we'd have to run a mile for a grade. I have always hated running. But, I decided a couple months ago that I needed to do something to get myself in better shape so I started the Couch to 5K program (which works really well, by the way) and this past Saturday I did my first ever 5K!!! I didn't run the whole thing, but I finished it and that's HUGE for me! I would have done much better if a certain little girl and boy had decided to sleep the night before so I could have had a good night's rest...but at least the next one I do should definitely be better, so that's always incentive to keep trying! It was a lot of fun though, and I'm definitely glad I did it. And I'm thankful that Christi and Larena ran it with me so we could all celebrate together. Here are a couple pictures from before the race. I'm planning to do another one in October so I've got plenty of time to build up for that!!
