So Not Fair

So Timothy has been sick...again...he came home from day care yesterday throwing up again...yes, it's the fourth time in three months that this has happened, it's been pretty regular, every three weeks. So I called the doctor since it seems weird to me that he's been doing this so often (and so regularly) and they told me to start keeping a journal or what he's eating and when he's getting sick to see if we can find a pattern. He threw up 12 times yesterday, that can't be normal! But today, he's completely fine! So I guess we just need to count our blessings that he's doing so well and Brandon and I haven't gotten sick too. I really don't think it's a contagious thing, I think it's something he's eating. But anyway, fund times at our house, doing mass loads of laundry and disinfecting everything a million times just in case!

Sorry I don't have any new pictures, we haven't taken many lately with the puking going on (not in much of a picture mood)...but anyway, thought I would give an update on our little guy. On the positive side, he has started helping me take his shirt off at night, if I get his arms out he can pull it over his head. And Daddy taught him how to say, "bubba"...we're so proud.

Our Little Lefty

So Timothy has a new favorite game...baseball! He's becoming quite the little pitcher while daddy bats, and Brandon's favorite part of the game is...Timothy throws left-handed! We're not sure if this means he will be a lefty, but he throws, holds a fork and spoon, and grabs with his left hand so we're thinking it might stick. Anyway, here are some pictures from the big game today!

Throw!!

Daddy called it a ball...looked like a strike to me!!

Oh no! Where did it go!

Maybe it's under here...

Are you ready for this?

So just hold it Daddy, and I'll hit it...

Time for batting practice, so that's how you do it!

This is easy, I think I'm ready to go pro!

Home Run!!

Did I mention he's also learned how to climb onto the couch...nothing is safe now!

You can just see the mischief in his eyes...

Not sure what this face is for, but it was just so cute I had to put it in here, love ya baby!

Happy Father's Day!!

Well so far I think Brandon has had a great second Father's Day...at least I hope so! I got up early and made the boys breakfast and got as much done as I could before Timothy woke up so that Brandon could sleep in a little and then we all ate breakfast together and headed off to church...then Brandon got to pick where we went for lunch, but since we went to early service there weren't too many restaurants open yet so we headed over to Applebee's. It took them over an hour to get our food, and it's like the second time that's happened, I don't think we'll be going back there! Anyway, we had to wait on my dad because he had to do the Lord's Supper at second service so we got some appetizers which meant Brandon got chips and cheese which he loves so hopefully so far it's been a good day...plus, right now he's passed out asleep on the couch, so that's always a good sign :)

He got some new shorts to wear on vacations this summer...they're pretty cool! And all four of us kids chipped in and got my dad an ipod. I think he was really surprised, he's been running so much lately he'll really get a lot of use out of it. Happy Father's Day dad and Brandon! You're both wonderful fathers and I love you both so much (and same to you Mike, I know we couldn't be there with you, but hope you had a great day!).

I know it's been forever since I got on here, we've had a rough couple of weeks. I had month end closing week before last and of course, on the one Wednesday of the month I have to go in to work, Timothy wakes up covered in puke! So he spent most of Wednesday and Thursday throwing up and then had horrible diarrhea over the weekend. By this past Wednesday though he was feeling much better and has been back to his normal self lately. Brandon was so amazing through all of it...he had to stay home on the day Timothy was throwing up so much and was so good to him and just held him all day and took really good care of him. I hated not being there, but I guess that's the life of an accountant!

Through it all, he still managed to gain 2 ounces, even though he was so dehydrated that he could barely hold his head up...it was scary, but he was fine. He weighs 24.5 now, he's huge!! His belly is so big that I can hardly find shirts that fit him! If they fit him through the arms and shoulders, they're too short and won't pull all the way over his belly, it's pretty cute though. Now if you ask him what a car says he'll say, "vroom" and a cow says, "moo" and a birdie says, "tweet tweet" and he can shake his head now too. He's really big into wrestling and chasing the dog around the room too. He still will usually cry when he's eating until he has a fork or spoon (or better yet, both!) to eat with, but usually, he'll hold his spoon in one hand and use his other hand to pick up food...even with things like applesauce...it's getting pretty messy around here!

He's just so big now, it's crazy how much he can do by himself! Like, after his bath I dry him off and then hand him his towel and he carries it into his room and puts it in his hamper...and at day care they have him clean off the table before they eat and then throw away his paper towel in the trash (all the kids have to clean the table, not just him)...and he can climb up and down stairs by himself now if he has something to hold on to and he knows how to climb up a slide and sit down and push himself off to slide down...it's crazy!! Anyway, sorry if this all seems stupid, but it still just amazes me that my fourteen month old little boy can be so independent!

We're gearing up for vacations this summer...we leave in about a month to go to Gulf Shores, AL with Brandon's family and then we go back down there again in August with my family...lots of time at the beach! I'm most excited for vacation in July because the new Harry Potter book comes out that weekend so I'm hoping to get in a lot of reading time (when I'm not chasing a certain someone around all of creation!). Both times we go there will be four little kids with us so Timothy will have lots of playmates! I'm really looking forward to the warm weather...it's been cold and rainy here today and I need some heat! Here's a pic from last year's vacation to South Padre Island...not quite sure what my hair was doing, but it was really windy that day...

Anyway, I should run and get some things done before the little guy wakes up...Happy Father's Day again to all the dads in our family, my dad, Brandon's dad, Brandon, Stefan, and Dustin...hope you all have a great day...and Happy Birthday Brittany and Jax...and I think that's it for now!

Outdoor Fun

This was a great weekend, the weather was beautiful (in the 70's and 80's all weekend) and it's still nice today and should be until Monday...we had a great time on Monday hanging out with the Cunninghams, our famliy friends from San Antonio who came to visit for the week, and Timothy enjoyed playing outside pretty much all weekend end long!

I'll spare you all the day by day activities, but basically we hung out either here at home or at my parent's house since last Friday. Brandon and I both had a four day weekend and then I had Wednesday off as usual, so it's been a nice relaxing week. On Memorial Day we went to mom and dad's and spent most of the afternoon down in the harbor, walking around and everyone except mom, Vicki, me and Timothy went kayaking. It was Brandon's first time to go and he loved it. Here's a group photo and then some random funny ones. They had a great time. We spent the rest of the day hanging out and eating dinner and of course, watching the Spurs.

Timothy has played outside almost every day this week, he loves to be outside. He tried to help Brandon with the yard work earlier in the week which was pretty entertaining. He pretty much just wants to throw his soccer ball and swing.

He started swimming lessons last week and he loves them. It's a lot of fun for me too to be in the pool with him and play with him. He's such a little daredevil...he pretends like he's going to blow bubbles in the water and then he just sticks his whole head in there. It's really funny. On Saturday we took him to our first mommy and me gym class. He loved that as well. It's basically a huge open gym time for kids under 4 and they have like a million toys out and a trampoline and a giant swing. It was a lot of fun.

He's still growing by leaps and bounds. He has started eating with a fork and spoon now, it's pretty cute. We've gotten rid of the middle of the day bottle, and now we're working on the morning bottle...I figure I'll tackle the night time bottle last, I'm giving myself until October to get rid of that one!

We had a great time with the Cunninghams this week. I hadn't seen them since Stefan and Stacia's wedding so it was nice to catch up...plus they had never met Brandon! He was happy to have fellow Texans there to watch the Spurs with. The boys are all going tonight to see the Mariners play the Rangers. Timothy loved playing with Mr. Gary and Blake and Barrett and of course loved all the attention from Mrs. Vicki and Cara...by the way can you tell he's cutting a tooth from the nice huge drool spot on his shirt (which I love, the shirt says, "my dad looks like me").

I've tried to get as many pictures in here as I could, it's been hard to find time for taking pictures, but I guess that's what happens as kids get older...anyway, hope everyone had a great Memorial Day weekend and happy birthday Aunt Karen!!

Picture Catch Up

Not much time to talk...just wanted to get some pictures up before I forget all the funny stories that go along with them...

Timothy has recently discovered that he can climb onto his rocking horse by himself...this is a huge help for us, obviously, and it's all he wants to do now, sit on that horse and rock the day away! And what kind of cowboy would he be if he didn't stick his tongue out while riding?

This one shows the lovely chip in his tooth, the top right tooth...and you can see how green his eyes are, aren't they pretty?

He's also found a new favorite place to sit, not sure how much Dixie likes it, but she stayed there for a while and just let him climb all over her, she's a good dog, no matter how much I try to deny it!

This one shows the nice patch of hair he has on the top of his head...that's the only spot where it's really thick, it's coming in more now though and it's lightening up a bit too!

He learned that he could roll balls under the entertainment center and then Brandon got down there to get it out and Timothy laid down next to him and tried to look under there to see what was there...he does it on purpose now and then he'll look back at us and say, "see?". It's pretty cute!

Happy Birthday Daddy!! You're the best!
Wrestling with daddy...I think Timothy won!
Pre-temper tantrum
Post-temper tantrum
Anyway, that's all for now, I'd better run because he's waking up from a nice three hour nap!! Enjoy the pictures and happy Memorial Day!

Armless Wonder

So I was just checking out the latest Simpson blogs and I was laughing at your funny Google pictures so I thought I would see what mine would be and when I put in my grandmommy's name, a cartoon picture came up of Martha Morris, the Armless Wonder...that made me laugh.

We've been busy little bees as usual. Tonight we were over at my parents' house helping them move around furniture. Brandon's sore and I'm tired from keeping Timothy under control. He's developed quite a temper lately and enjoys throwing things when he's really mad. Not a good habit to start! He's still trying to talk a lot. When he points now, he'll say, "see?" and anything he picks up goes up to his ear like a phone and we get, "hi". It's pretty cute. He's picking up on things so quickly now. He loves to take off his socks and shoes, but now he tried to put them on too. And today he was helping me put away laundry, he would hand me hangers and put his clothes in the dirty clothes basket. Sunday night at church he was being loud as usual, so we went into the training room and he was snacking on a fruit snack and he threw it so I put him down and asked him to go pick it up and he actually did. I was so proud. He's such a big boy now, and I'm sure it will only get better from here.

No new pictures, the battery on the camera died and I just recently remembered to replace them so I haven't gotten any new pictures recently. I know this one is short, but I'm tired and when I saw the "Armless Wonder" I knew I had to post that quickly or I'd forget...too funny!

Chatty Boy

Our little man has become such a talker lately! His vocabulary so far consists of 5-10 words and it seems we catch a new one every day now. His newest are "all done" (sounds more like "ah da") and "truck" (sounds more like "guck"). He can consistently sign "all done" and "more" now so we're working on "milk" and "please". It's crazy to think this time last year he was just starting to smile! He's still walking strong and dancing more now. It's kind of like a funny little knee bend thing, but it's cute! He can climb onto his rocket now too which is nice and saves us from some fit throwing! He's back into the sticking out his tongue phase so we have a lot of drool again...it's great. And I tell you what, this little boy is set for the summer thanks to all the birthday clothes from TX and the two huge boxes from the Caseys...thanks Karen!!! Tonight though, he wore the jammies to bed that Jax wore the last time they were at our house, so that was a little sad...but they fit him great.

Today we did the JDRF Walk to Find a Cure. It was so much fine. The weather was beautiful and it wasn't too cold. We started out on the beach at walked five miles. It was a little tough at first with the huge hill to climb, but once we got up that, it was easy going. Timothy made it in the stroller a little more than half way and then got fussy so I took him out and held him for a few minutes until he fell asleep and the we laid him back in the stroller and he took a pretty good nap in there! We had over 50 people walking on Team Ty! It was so encouraging to see everyone there, it was hard not to cry...but it was great and hopefully next year we won't have to walk because they will have found a cure!!

This is Team Ty! Timothy was asleep in the stroller and a lot of people had already left before we had a chance to get a picture...but you get the idea!

This is Timothy showing off his Team Ty sweatshirt...and yes, those are socks on his hands, we didn't have any gloves for him...oh well!

Anyway, I know this is short, but it's been a rough couple of weeks and I've had a lot on my mind so it's hard to think of things to sit and talk about...Timothy starts at his new daycare on Thursday and in three weeks we get a four day weekend, so I guess there's always something to look forward to!
