On Strike
For those of you who were wondering, no, I have not been in the hospital and the explanation for my lack of blogging lately is that I've decided I'm on strike until Charlotte is born...so that does mean that the next post you see will have baby pictures...it just might be a while. Thank you to those of you who have emailed to say you're thinking of us...I promise I'll get pictures on here as soon as possible, just be patient :) and yes, I'm talking to myself there :)

The Kids' Rooms
Here they are...the long awaited (yeah right) pictures of Timothy and Charlotte's rooms. I also threw in one of Timothy on his bike because he just recently learned how to pedal it by himself and one of Charlotte's bassinet that my mom and dad re-finished for us. And any compliments on their rooms goes straight to Brandon and my dad, they really did all the work!

(Lindsay screaming and stomping her feet)
No progress...no dilating...no NOTHING! But awww...isn't it sweet that Charlotte is just so warm and comfortable that she isn't ready to come out yet...can you tell I'm a little frustrated!!!
On the one hand, it's nice because I will be at work next week (pending a baby dropping, cervix dilating miracle) and I was a little nervous about being gone next week because I just don't feel like the people covering for me are quite ready for me to be gone during a month end close yet...on the other hand, I'm ready to be done with pregnancy and fat swollen feet and maternity clothes and I want to hold my baby girl.
Please pray for me to keep my temper in check these next couple of weeks! And pray that Charlotte will finally decide that she's ready to meet her mommy and daddy and big brother!

Ouch!!
Ok, so we must be making progress now cause I've been in pain with contractions since Saturday afternoon...when I go back to the doc on Wednesday I really hope she has some better news for me than last week!
18 days to go now, I still can't believe it's almost here. It has gone by quickly until recently and now it seems like time is just dragging...I'm sure it will all be over in a couple of weeks though ;)
Timothy has become suddenly very clingy, he didn't want to go to Bible class yesterday and he didn't want to go back to the nursery during church and he woke up screaming last night after finally going down to bed relatively easily. It's going to be an interesting couple of months at the York house.
Other than that, we're busy little bees as usual. Heather's wedding is Friday so we're all trying to get ready for that, my brother and his family are coming in tomorrow, we've been trying to get the house ready to go so that we don't have much to do for the next couple of months as we adjust to life with baby Charlotte. My mom and dad finished her bassinet and brought it over yesterday, it's so beautiful, I'll get some pictures of it once I finish washing and drying the sheets.
Anyway, no more pictures today, I'm at work so it's a little hard to add pictures from here :) I'll make sure to tell Brandon how to get on here so he can add some pictures when the big day arrives. Until then, keep us in your prayers!

Baby Update
Well, there's not much to update...I went to the doc today for the first of my weekly appointments and she checked me and said that Charlotte hasn't completely dropped yet and I wasn't dilated at all...I almost wish she hadn't checked me, but she gave me some tips on how to help her drop and how to have more effective contractions so needless to say I will be doing all that I can to get this baby in gear! I'm so ready for this to be over and have my sweet little girl to hold I can barely stand it. Of course, she needs to come either really soon or wait a little longer since I don't think it would be good to have the baby on the same weekend as Heather's wedding, but you know, I really won't care, I'll have my baby!!!
Her room is (almost) completely finished. All we need now is a lamp for her little table (which I'll probably go get on Wednesday) and her crib bumper (which is on back order until the 24th). My wonderful amazing husband worked so incredibly hard this weekend to finish her room and he did a great job, this little girl has the cutest, most girly room, I'll take some pictures of it and post them once we get it all finished up. And I'll get some of Timothy's room too since I haven't put any of those on here either.
Well it sounds like the boys are done with bath time so I should wrap this up. Sorry for no pictures again. I meant to take some tonight, Timothy was playing in the sprinkler and I got out there with the camera and turned it on and realized I had forgotten to put the memory card back in...sorry...anyway, pray for this baby to drop and get moving! My money's on August 8th (how cool would it be have 8-8-08 as your birthday?) so I'll keep you updated!!

Timothy-isms
As all children do...Timothy has his own special way of saying certain words or phrases that I want to remember someday. I'll never forget how my nephew Tyler used to say "little bit" as "hittle blit" and it was so cute! So here they are - the 27 month old Timothy-isms.
puppy = ruffy
get up = get out
flip flops = plops
baseball = gloveball or swing batter batter
elephant = elepant
twinkle twinkle (as in little star) = tinkle tinkle
clean up = cleamup
boots = boo boo's
freckle = breckle
hammer = bammer
billy goat - gilly boap
boat = boap
okie dokie = opie dokie
incredibles (as in the movie) = increbibles
this one is a little longer...he combines some songs and the most recent one that we heard that we had to laugh at was "old macdonald had a farm e-i-e-i-o, and on his farm he had a duck and Bingo was his name-o"
I'm sure I'm forgetting some, so if you know him well and can think of any I've forgotten...leave a comment and let me know!

Pictures!!
I've been bad about posting pictures so now you get them all at once!!
These first ones are from our 4th of July weekend out at Delano with the Herken's and the Bolen's.

Timothy and Lara swinging on the rope ladder

Such a sweet boy

Playing on the playground...I think they did this for like four straight hours, it was so nice to just sit and visit with friends while they played!

Playing tetherball with daddy

Tyler and his "favorite" ship

Waiting for the ships to come in

Timothy splashing in the puddles...thank goodness for rain boots!

Digging in the sand with plastic spoons
"Taking pictures" with watermelon slices...they would hold them up to their faces and yell "cheese!"

These next four are pictures of the tide at Delano...it went out so far and then it comes back in so fast. The first two pictures are when it was out the farthest (taken around 2 pm) and then the next two I took from the same spot about four hours later.
These next ones are from the Tall Ships festival in Tacoma. We went down to Ruston early Thursday with mom and dad and Tyler and watched the ships sail into the Port of Tacoma. They were so pretty, but I think Timothy was a little scared of the ones that had cannons!

These next ones are just random pictures that I thought were cute!

Major bath tub splashing

Timothy and Ethan and Lara at the Rainier's game...the sun was in their faces for most of the game and they all seemed so surprised when it finally went down that they were really at a baseball game and it wasn't just the two outfielders that they could see! Of course by that time they were all so tired that we had to leave...oh well!
